Xercel is hiring a user experience/graphic designer. The on-site position will start part-time at roughly 24 hours a week with some flexibility on which week days you work and scale to full-time. Our dream candidate should be able to conceptualize site architecture, build personas, design an intuitive user experience, have a grasp of basic HTML/CSS for minor tweaks, be able to build out wireframes + write specs for our development team and be expert in Photoshop, with good working experience in Dreamweaver. Illustrator and Indesign would be a major bonus because we’d like someone who can pitch-in for print design when the help is needed. Specific responsibilities include

Assessing a website's content and organizing site architecture
Design User Personas
Design User Interfaces using Photoshop
Be able to design wireframes for each section of the website
Write a clear spec for development
Populate content as-needed
Assist with QA and report bugs to development team and track completion
Understand basic HTML and CSS

Required Experience and Skills

1-3 years of experience designing elegant, mobile friendly user interfaces
Creative Suite: Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Illusrator and Indesign
Eager to learn new skills and technologies
Strong writing and presentation skills
Ability to multi-task
Adaptable, flexible and open to new ideas
Self-motivated, highly organized, detail oriented
Thrive working in a fast paced, highly entrepreneurial environment

Additional Desired Skills

Willingness to pet Ava (our resident Toy Fox Terrier) who is in the office almost every day who will certainly shed both white and black hair on you so you can never win (lint roller available).
